Nominations for the Fukuoka City Cultural Award and the Fukuoka Citizen’s Cultural Activity Merit Award
This is an announcement from the Fukuoka City Bureau of Economy, Tourism and Culture.
The Fukuoka City Cultural Award and the Fukuoka Citizen’s Cultural Activity Merit Award are presented to individuals or organizations that contribute to the improvement, development, and promotion of culture in Fukuoka City. We are looking for candidates.
Recently, in media arts, Shunsuke Nakamura(Representative Director of SHIKUMI DESIGN Co., Ltd.), Akihiro Hino(President and CEO of LEVEL-5 Co., Ltd.), Yukari Oshima(Asian movie action star actress), and Kan Eguchi (Chairman of the Board, KOO-KI Co., Ltd.) received the Fukuoka City Cultural Award, and Etsuo Genda(Emeritus Professor, Kyushu University) received the Fukuoka Citizen’s Cultural Activity Merit Award.

1. Award Summaries
(1) Fukuoka City Cultural Award: Presented to individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the improvement and development of the city’s culture, particularly the in arts. (Established in 1976. 163 people and 5 organizations have been awarded to date.)
(2) Fukuoka Citizen’s Cultural Activity Merit Award: Presented to individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the enrichment of the city through activities that nurture Fukuoka’s civic culture. (Established in 1994. 31 individuals and 24 organizations have been awarded to date.)

Monday August 2 to Thursday September 30, 2021
