GFF AWARD 2023－the 16th Fukuoka Game Contest－

This is an announcement from the Fukuoka Game Industry Promotion Agency.

The Fukuoka Game Industry Promotion Agency, which was formed collaboratively by Fukuoka City, Kyushu University, and GFF, an industry organization comprising companies in the game development industry in Fukuoka, Kyushu, is an organization that is involved in talent development, market development, and public relations, in order to realize its goal of making Fukuoka a “global game city”.

The Fukuoka Game Contest “GFF AWARD 2023”, which marks its 16th edition this year, is a game contest aimed at amateur game developers. It comprises awards in three categories－ game software, graphic art, and game design.
This year, the winners will be chosen from 1,276 participating entries via live stream!
We have invited Mr Taro Yoko of BUKKORO Co. as a guest judge, and the awards for each category, the thrilling evaluation of presentations in the game software category, and a special talk show will be livestreamed free of charge via YouTube.

The special talk show, which is a must-see event for creators, will feature Mr Taro Yoko alongside the CEO of CyberConnect2 Co., Ltd., Mr Hiroshi Matsuyama, who will be the moderator of the talk show!
Mr Taro Yoko is renowned for the unique worldview present in his games, beginning from the “Nier” series.
In this talk show, he will be speaking about topics such as how to create the unique worldviews known as “Yoko World”, and how to think when working on game scenarios.
In the second half of the talk show, Mr Taro Yoko will improvise a plot on the spot. Don’t miss this chance to see what kind of story Mr Yoko will weave!
