GFF AWARD 2024: 17th Fukuoka Game Contest

We are pleased to share an announcement from the Fukuoka Game Industry Promotion Organization.

The Fukuoka Game Industry Promotion Organization (FGIPO), a collaborative effort between Kyushu University, Fukuoka City, and GFF (an association comprising game software production companies in Fukuoka, Kyushu), is actively involved in initiatives aimed at human resource development, market expansion, and public relations aimed at establishing Fukuoka as a “world-class game city.”

The “GFF AWARD 2024,” now in its 17th year, is a gaming competition open to amateurs across four categories: game software, graphic art, AI graphic art, and planning. This year, we are thrilled to announce the broadcast of the winner selection from among 1,254 entries! We are honored to welcome Katsuhiro Harada as a guest judge who will unveil the winning entries across categories, evaluate passionate presentations in the game software category, and participate in a special talk show, which will be streamed for free on YouTube.　

The special talk show, essential viewing for creators, will be moderated by Hiroshi Matsuyama, President of CyberConnect2 Co., Ltd., who will take the stage alongside Katsuhiro Harada! Katsuhiro Harada has worked on many games across home and arcade platforms, including the “Tekken” and “Soul Calibur” series. He will share insights into game creation from the perspective of a game director and producer. He will also discuss the development journey of “Tekken 8,” the latest installment in the series, where he served as project chief director. Be sure not to miss it!
