Fukuoka in September is a Music Festival!
The Fukuoka Music Month Organizer’s Group combined music events held in Fukuoka in September of various genres into a single event called “Fukuoka Music Month” and shares a wide range of information regarding the Music City, Fukuoka.
Fukuoka Music Month 2023 will finally hold 4 music events after COVID-19, including Sunset Live, which will be held for the first time in 4 years.
(1) Sunset Live 2023: September 2nd (Sat) and 3rd (Sun)
Sunset Live 2023 will be held at Keya Beach in Itoshima. The first Sunset Live started in 1993 to introduce Itoshima’s wonderful nature through music and keep its nature for the next generation.
After each Sunset Live, the number of fans increased because of the beautiful stage coexisting with Itoshima’s ocean and nature.
This year will be the 29th event and the first one in 4 years.
Music! Nature! Delicious food! Alcohol!

(2) NAKASU JAZZ 2023: September 16th (Sat) to 17th (Sun), 2023
“Nakasu is the right spot for Jazz…”
These two days will color the town of Nakasu with jazz.
Famous artists like Aki Yashiro, SHIHO, and Chieko Mizutani will gather in Nakasu. People of wide-ranging age groups can enjoy everything from standard jazz to club jazz. No one can predict who will perform at which stage because the sessions are free events.
This year, there will be an event at the same time where you can enjoy wine at the Square above the Haruyoshi Bridge!
Both jazz lovers and people who don’t know much about jazz will be able to enjoy this event for sure. Why? Because it’s FREE!
Enjoy wonderful music at Nakasu Jazz and enjoy delicious alcohol and food in the city of Nakasu!

(3) Kyushu Gospel Festival 2023 in Hakata, September 16th (Sat) to 17th (Sun)
This festival promotes new local interactions through music. From Kyushu’s entrance, Hakata Station, the festival shares “the joy of everyone singing together.”
For this year’s 10th anniversary, famous guests will perform on September 16th (Sat): Takao Tajima and Kenta Dedachi, and September 17th (Sun): Leo Ieiri and The Voices of Japan!
With the chorus group TEAM SURPRISE active in Fukuoka, chorus groups from all over Japan and guests will perform on the stage. It’s a must-see.
The regular event on the night of the 2nd day, “Gospel by 2,000 people,” can be joined by people on the spot!
There is no doubt it will be the most exciting grand finale of the event.
If you love gospels, music, singing, or even if it’s your first time, be sure to participate!

(4) BAYSIDE FESTIVAL 2023, September 23rd (Sat) to 24th (Sun), 2023
Make Fukuoka City’s sea entrance, Bayside Place Hakata, a port full of music!
This strong passion gave birth to the Bayside Festival last year.
Live performances on the stage will be held by 10 artists over 2 days. We look forward to seeing you with great highlights, such as live performances on board a chartered cruise ship, DJ booths, and basketball competitions.
This year, there will be a festival on the eve of the main festival at Hakata Port’s landmark Hakata Port Tower!
Enjoy the 360 panoramic scenery of the beautiful night view in Hakata and enjoy classic tunes carefully selected by DJs.
