“Special Course for Filmmaking by Director Kore-eda”
Recruiting participants!
Creative Lab Fukuoka aims to nurture creators who will lead the future of film, so we have invited Director Hirokazu Kore-eda as the lecturer for a special one-day course.
On the event day, participants will receive advice on their work, and we will also hear from the director on how he creates his work.
Date and time:
March 31st, 2024 (Sunday) 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Venue:
Kyushu University Ohashi Campus Conference Room (4-9-1 Shiobaru, Minami Ward, Fukuoka City)
Attendance:
Free ※Advance application required
Target audience:
*Planned for about five individuals
People who commute to work or study in Fukuoka city, those who work in the city and have collected viewing fees for movies they produced in the past, or creators who have won an award, such as at a film festival, and aspire to be a film director or producer.
*Participants will be required to submit 5 to 10 minutes of footage from their previous works in advance with the intent of receiving feedback from Director Kore-eda.
*If there are many applicants, we will conduct a selection process and notify the results by email in (currently scheduled for) mid-March.

February 29th, 2024 (Thursday) ～ March 13th, 2024 (Wednesday)

Contents:
・Presentations by participants on their past production works and activities
・Advice from Director Kore-eda regarding the participants’ works and activities
・Question and answer session, etc.
※The above is a tentative schedule. The contents are subject to change.

・If there are many applicants, we will conduct a selection process and notify you of the results in (currently scheduled for) mid-March (We will generally contact you via email).
・The information entered in the application form will only be used for the conduct of this event.
・Personal information will be strictly managed by our office and will not be disclosed or leaked to any third party.
・Photos taken during this event may be used for public relations and recording media (Homepage, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) of the city, Creative Lab Fukuoka, and Creative Symbiosis City General Incorporated Association. Please note that when you apply, you are deemed to have agreed to this.
