“Exploring the Creative Vision of Directors Beyond the Camera”: Hirokazu Koreeda × Kazuya Konaka Talk & Screening of ‘Single8,’ a Film about the Youth of Filmmaking

At Creative Lab Fukuoka, in collaboration with “Fukuoka International Film Festival with Everyone,” an event titled “Exploring the Creative Vision of Directors Beyond the Camera” will be held, featuring a talk and film screening. In the first part, Director Kazuya Konaka will interview Director Hirokazu Koreeda about his youth when he began filmmaking and the future of the film industry.

In the second part, there will be a screening of Kazuya Konaka’s high school youth film passion project, Single8. Following the screening, a Q&A session will be held with Director Konaka. We warmly welcome filmmakers, those aspiring to make films, fans of both directors, film lovers, and anyone pursuing a creative path to attend this event and hear from these two directors.
